LA Times Festival of Books 2011!




Some things that will be up in the Etsy shop, hopefully by next week. And this is only about half of the inventory! (I took some quick shots last night in my room just to give you a sneak peek :) )Getting a lookbook and such made by my friend Emma, so be on the lookout. I got some pretties modeling my stuff (my young little American Apparel coworkers Karlee and Aaliyah).

Look how beautiful! Too bad I'm not of a station in life where I can afford such extravagances, and so, I shop at Salvation Army, where I found a ton of super cute Spring steals yesterday, including a chambray dress (almost as adorable as this one). Be on the lookout here to see what I scored for about 98% cheaper.

I am a lover of many things. Sound, sight, taste. . . and every evolution (for the scientific types) and reincarnation (for you spiritual ones) of those because they make me feel (for them romantics). Whatever that feeling may be. Somehow words beat out everything else.

slow club

This is a tribute to Slow Club that my little sister and I made one hot boring summer day three years ago. They found it on YouTube and put us on their myspace page way back when and when they came to the states to play a show they invited us to come out for it. Isn't that crazy?

Okay so, I'm going to be getting into gear and restocking the shop, HoneyBee Vintage on Etsy, within the next two weeks. I have a bunch of stuff I've accumulated and after one week I'll have the time to shoot everything and post 'em up. In the meantime the stuff in my shop is discounted 40% off! There are only a few things left, so have at it!

So, this is the lookbook for ShopRuche.com. I was trying to pick just one or two stills from the Spring 2011 lookbook but I couldn't settle on so few. Check out the whole thing here. And then here are the standouts.

frankie

So I just stumbled upon this adorable magazine called frankie from Australia. It's super cute and the editorials are always beautiful, just like most Aussie/New Zealand fashion (as I've found out from following Liebemarlene and her obsession with the fashion there).

Their online website is darling as well, with a music player and a blog on the main page. Check it out. You can also subscribe to it on the site, but it's expensive, especially if you don't live in Australia. Also, if you sign up for it, they send you love letters in your inbox :)
