I'll be selling my wares at Cal State San Bernardino a week from Friday. Support from you lovely people would be wonderful and well-appreciated! Bring your friends! You'll get to see the entire HoneyBee Vintage inventory up close and personal. We might even rig up a changing room of sorts. And free gifties as well. If you're anywhere near the area, I strongly recommend coming out to meet me and score some cute vintage finds on the cheap! Trust me, I'm much cheaper than most every other Etsy shop out there! :) (Cheap in the good sense)

skin food

I stumbled on Skin Food the other day while shopping with my best friend Abby at the Cerritos Mall near her house. I was actually looking for The Body Shop for some body wash but we ended up walking into Skin Food because it was in the location that the Body Shop used to be in. I'd heard about Skin Food before but didn't know anything about it. Apparently, it's a skin and cosmetics store based out of Korea, and there are only four locations in the U.S. (all in Southern California). Check out their website! You'll be mesmerized, I swear. Walking in the store is an experience in itself because it's displayed in a simple, cute, organic-looking way that makes you want to buy everything in the store. You shouldn't, though, because it's super expensive, but I did end up buying more that just body wash. (Also, I've never actually purchased an eyelash curler in my life.) The smaller packets of body wash and skin care products were free samples, though. They're really nice and helpful there, and you get a little stamp card to earn a free polish, too!

I have so much to update you all on now that everything has died down. The wedding has come and gone and it was wonderful. Before that was a lot of planning and crafting and stressing AND a trip to Chicago for the AWP Writer's Conference which is held annually, but in different locations. The first year I went was in Denver, and last year was Washington D.C. I think my favorite, weirdly, was Denver-- mostly because of the people. I think my favorite locale was D.C., though.

WEEKS AND WEEKS AGO. . .
The Loved One in Pasadena is a vintage shop that also sells original lingerie. I ended up buying the white cropped cotton top right in the first photo, along with the Fuego Set and a super cute green printed blouse. I'll post up outfit pictures some other time. Afterwards, my mother-in-law and I walked around Old Pasadena (which I love) and ate lunch and cupcakes.



Oh! I also got a super cute cat jewelry holder. The place was covered in cat kitch. Loved it.

Quickquickquick post before I pay complete and close attention to the story I'm finishing writing up for my fiction workshop tomorrow. I just want to share a lovely wonderful Enchantment lookbook from Ruche, photographed by the amazing Elizabeth Messina. It's pretty beautiful. Those floral flats are on the way to me in the mail and I can't wait!

Also, parts of it were shot at my wedding venue, Heritage Square Museum. If you look at the outdoor shots on the couch and the one with the church, that's where my wedding is going to be. AND I had rented that exact vintage couch for my lounge area, (from Found Vintage Rentals in Fullerton) at the reception. The color story is just like my wedding palette. It's perfect timing, because now I have inspiration for the photography on the day of the wedding. Great minds, and all that.
